Breana Petriska’s passion for interior design began at an early age when her grandfather made a replica dollhouse of her own English mansard-roofed childhood home, in Oakville, ON. That early obsession with building, designing and playing designer lead her to graduate from Sheridan College with an Advanced Diploma in Interior Design (2004, High Honours), as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Wilfrid Laurier University (2001). After graduation, Breana worked in Toronto with top Interior Designers, both commercial and high-end residential, where she developed an enthusiasm for the residential client. In 2011, she founded her own design consulting firm, Polychrome Design – now known as Polychrome Interiors.

“ ‘Polychrome’ is the practice of decorating architectural elements, sculpture, etc. in a variety of colours” and reflects Breana’s approach to working with her clients personalities and truly epitomizes her approach to interior design. Coupled with her attention to detail and deep understanding of how clients move, live and use their spaces, she marries form and function effortlessly. Her creativity for seamlessly mixing the old with the new, dedication to sustainable design practices and a fervor for injections of colour wherever possible, she delights her clients and consistently surpasses their expectations.

And, from demolition to door hardware, she confidently coordinates every aspect of the design process with ease.

In 2013, Breana united her love of design with the art of teaching and is also a partial load professor for her alma mater at the Faculty of Animation, Arts & Design, Sheridan College. Currently, she resides in Oakville with her graphic designer husband and two rambunctious little boys.
